tokyobike - the bicycle designed and crafted for the perfect ride around Tokyo. NOHGA HOTEL UENO will be hosting its second city guide tour of Kuramae - a neighborhood brimming with charming design and quirky craftspeople.
Leading this tour will be the ever-charming Ichiro Kanai - President of tokyobike - unmistakable by his smile. You can call him "Kin-chan". Kin-chan knows Kuramae like the back of his hand, and will take us all to see and experience the spots that make Kuramae so special and beloved.
Packed with shops and studios both vintage and modern, Kuramae's character represents the intersection of so many aspects of design and craftsmanship. This tour will introduce you to spots like "Kakimori" - the one-of-a-kind, charming original stationary store - and "Syuro" - the originally-crafted house supply store built into an old warehouse. And of course, during breaks we'll be sure to enjoy some of the countless cafés and stands spotted along the roads.
On a toyobike, especially in Kuramae, you are able to take in and and experience perspectives you might miss on foot. Come enjoy a relaxing ride (approx. 3 hours), take in the neighborhood, and meet the folks behind this creative community.
Participants will receive a free tokyobike sacoche and notebook for the ride, and after the tour we will treat everyone to a free drink back at the hotel. We look forward to seeing you all the day of!

As we will be riding bicycles, please be sure to wear clothing that is easy to move in. *Please avoid clothing that is too loose or hanging, as it may become caught in the bicycle.
