[Free event with visitor participation] "Our Canvas" live painting & workshop with Kouhei Asakura on 8/26 (Saturday)

Experience deep art in Ueno, a culture-filled area surrounded by art galleries and museums!

NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO will hold a "live painting" event with visitor participation that will help you get more familiar with art and experience it with all five senses.

As a special project for the summer holiday period of NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO, we have invited Mr. Kouhei Asakura, who is currently exhibiting his works in the Lobby Gallery on the 1st floor, to hold a "live painting" event in the Library on the 2nd floor.

This art event will complete "Our Canvas" by having participants paint and add color on a size 100 canvas together with Mr. Asakura, who has held many workshops with children and other participants.

Beginners are welcome, including if you are interested in painting or would like to experience it with your children! Please feel free to join us.

*You are also welcome to join just to watch the live painting.

Live painting with visitor participation. Paintings by Mr. Asakura and visitors will be combined to create a single work.

"I will prepare a large surface on the wall, and each person will express themselves based on the theme of nature. I will paint along with them, adding my own touches to the background to complete the painting."

3 PM: Start of live painting with visitor participation

5:45 PM: Painting completed for unveiling, viewing, photography, etc.

6 PM: End of event

　Anyone who is interested is welcome to participate.

● Notes on participation:
Everyone can freely participate, but in order to avoid unexpected overcrowding, we will adjust the number of participants to around 20 people. Therefore, it is recommended to register in advance (name, contact information, number of participants).

<Deadline for registration> 6 PM on Friday, August 25, 2023

*Registration will be closed when the number of participants reaches capacity.

*If there is space available, people without prior registration may attend on the day of the event, but it will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
