ARTIST PROFILE

Sae Honda (born 1987) is a Japanese jeweler / artist based in Japan and the Netherlands. She graduated from Musashino Art University in 2010, and later studied at Gerrit Rietveld Academie from 2013 to 2016. After completing her studies, she has been internationally showcasing self-initiated works (mainly jewelry and art works) as well as commissioned work. Questioning the existing value system with her poetic approach, she explores alternative aesthetics this modern life has to offer. Through her practice she formulates fresh perspectives and values, a result of careful observation of the current world where the border between nature and artifact is becoming more and more obscure. Some of her works are included in the permanent collection of Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and Rijksmuseum Amsterdam.

ARTIST PROFILE

The French-Japanese artist-duo K-NARF&SHOKO invent, create, and produce extraordinary photographic projects halfway in between reality and imagination where the past, present and future are always interconnected. Tape-o-graph process is a photography technique invented by K-NARF over 10 years ago inspired from Bricolage Art Movement, which portrays a unique world of imagination and reality, past and future. The pair attempts to take an innovative approach to their photography by creating photos using sealing tapes and setting up large scale installations with objects from dollar stores and stationery stores. As an independent artist they self-represent by creating all their artworks themselves for every exhibition abroad and in Japan. They became known for collaborating with Pierre Herme in 2015.
