This is a military jacket embroidered with a design created by Hideki Kimura, a mural artist from Kyoto.
It is designed with Koma-nui or cording stitch, a Japanese embroidery technique to secure gold or thick twisted thread, which cannot penetrate cloth.

Here, Koichi shows the collaborated work with Hideki Kimura. This "Kyoto Souvenir Jacket" is a silk jacket embroidered with a design of the fusuma sliding doors in Kacho-den hall of Shoren-in temple, showcasing the extremely intricate stitches.

RAINMAKER also offers a lineup of products created in collaboration with manufacturers and craftspeople, often incorporating Kyoto's traditional craftsmanship.

Experience RAINMAKER, a store that continues to spread the love for Kyoto and its craftworks.
